On May 8-th 2007 the Dutch band DIAL released their debut album "Synchronized" on the label Progrock records. To promote the album the band contacted the Dutch video company D'iMages to make a music video for the song "Beautiful". The video clip was shot in two days using HD cameras edited and color corrected by D'iMages and was released on the YouTube and MySpace site of the band.

The band made it clear that they did not want a standard rock performance video. The message of the song (obsession with exterior beauty) needed to be expressed. The video needed to have a very modern, twisted and arty look. After a number of brainstorm sessions between DIAL and D'iMages, the concept took shape.

The video depicts a woman, who has become so obsessed by the face of beauty that she lives in an imaginary world where she play the part of beauty icons and catwalk girls. In the end she believes she is on the catwalk herself, being cheered and applauded. When her illusion fails to hold up she finds herself in a catatonic state, unable to interact with the world around her.

The band DIAL

Dial started in the fall of 2003 as a forum for musical expression between Rommert van der Meer, Liselotte Hegt and Kristoffer Gildenlow.
The general idea was to make music, any kind of music. Early 2005 there was a first demo, recorded in a home environment, using drum machines and sequencers.

Early 2006 DIAL got in touch with musician/producer Devon Graves (Dead Soul Tribe) and after hearing a newer version of the demo (re-recorded and re-mixed early 2006) he was happy to help out with producing the debut album of DIAL. The album was recorded at Dead Soul Temple (Austria) in June/July 2006 and released world wode through Prog Rock Records in 2007. DIAL has since played at several festivals and supported Bands like Riverside (PL) and Kingfisher's Sky (NL).

D'iMages video productions
