Ehe is a 52nd generation Aztec medicine man and traditional healer (Curandero). Through a series of extraordinary circumstances the two meet.

Shaahin Cheyene

Iranian born documentary filmmaker, author and 5 th generation herbalist, Shaahin Cheyene has traveled the world for over 15 years studying and documenting native cultures, their extraordinary healing techniques and their medicines.

Serpent and the Sun is the first in a series of films documenting the global phenomena of shamanism, the medicine men and women of the world, and their lives.

Utilizing the proceeds from the film in addition to grants, Cheyene hopes to help preserve these rapidly diminishing traditions of native people throughout the world and to promote sustainability of native cultures, their environment and the proliferation of their medicines.
