Before we go any further, we want to get one thing out of the way... you don't have to be a filmmaker or "technogeek" to attend. There are six letters in our name, and four of them focus on the festive as in "FEST." This is the biggest reason people come back year after year. HDFEST shows great content and captivates its audiences with mounds of eye-candy all in high-def.

Since 2000, HDFEST has known that high-def and digital cinema are the future of the entertainment industry. Since that time, HDFEST has been at the heart and core of this revolution. Industry executives and working professionals alike have confirmed HDFEST played and continues to play a vital role in the acceleration of this transition.

For years, HDFEST has been producing all high-def film festivals all over the globe. Since HDFEST's inception, there have been 23 HDFEST events in 10 cities from LA and NYC, to London and Helsinki, to Sydney, Australia.

In addition to screenings of movies, HDFEST events also include panels and seminars on high-def filmmaking and digital cinema with some of the industry's leading experts. Back in 2004, HDFEST instituted the annual HDFEST Deffie Awards, offering recognition of excellence in High-Def filmmaking and innovation.
