This is the first project by collaborative directors Adam Aiken and Shelley Revill. The design was influenced by Victorian Industrialism and by Communist propaganda posters with the story inspired by the Mountain Goats track.

The technique involves elements of photomontage and collage as well as traditional animation.

‘Slow West Vultures’ is also featured on the BBC Film Network website and was the most watched film short for 3 months since it was first posted there.

Adam and Shelley have since created the final video for The Delgados.  ‘Girls of Valour’ was released in March 2005 from the album ‘Universal Audio’ (record label - Chemikal Underground).  Adam and Shelley have both been working at Sherbet – the animation production company, for 3 and 4 years respectively.  They have worked on campaigns for among others; Persil, Nokia and Yorkshire Tea as well as recent series ‘Monkey Dust’ which has been screened on BBC3 and BBC2.

Adam recently won the Short Cuts Film competition, with his film ‘Metro Mickey’ – a joint production with director Laura Watkins.
