On the Move

Brief synopsis: "onTheMove" is the name of a 2D-Animation solely made of letters. The
project was created in class "Digital Compositing" in the first semester of the master
degree program "Digital Media" at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences.
Task was to create a short animation showing "letters in motion". Programs used for this
animation are Adobe Illustrator, Adobe AfterEffects and Apple Logic.
Director Biography
Martin J. Pernsteiner is a 25 year old motion designer and freelancer from Austria,
Europe. He graduated from the 3-year bachelor program "Media Technology and
Design" at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences - School of Informatics,
Communications and Media. During this bachelor program he completed a six
month internship as graphic designer at the User Experience department at
Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton, New Jersey. Subsequently he pursued
his master's degree in "Digital Media" focusing on Animation and Postproduction at
his former University in Austria and worked as a teaching assistant for "Motion
Design", "Video Editing" and "Design Tools" for the students of the bachelor
program "Media Technology and Design". He graduated in October 2009. Since
then he is working in the graphics department at bet-at-home.com Entertainment
GmbH in Linz, Austria in the field of motion design.
