Flickermood

Directed by Sebastian Lange

Germany

What some people throughout the web call "typography storm"or "thrilling
typographical trapeeze" is an experimental kinetic
type animation by Sebastian Lange based on fragments of the poem 'Mutability' by
Shelley and on the track 'Flickermood' from Swedish musician Forss.
Flickermood is fluid, fresh and unpredictable - going beyond the usual
ways of animated type. In 'Mutability' Shelley basically says that nothing
endures but change. It is the only constant in our world - the clip Flickermood
expresses this through pulsing, throbbing, shifting and repositioning of
typography and music, floating in fluid, drifting randomly but always precise
and consistent.

The first version of Flickermood was published in 2007 and was about
30 seconds long. It got widely spread over the internet and played on many
festivals.
