A self biographical black machinima comedy about artistic failure

GENERAL ARTIST STATEMENT

The narrative of "The Art Reception" is linear enough: "A figurative painterholds an art reception. The critics and the audience are less than impressedby his art project (depicting male porn stars) and they tell him so. He doesnot take the criticism well. He loses his mind completely and startshallucinating before passing out. In his dreams he gets his revenge. Butdreams are short-lived." Ulf Kristiansen tells a story that ends & blends fantasies (sexual, artistic & violent) into a game of lost innocence.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Ulf Kristiansen is a 38 year old painter and videoartist that lives on a little island outside of Oslo, Norway with his 17 year old son (Michael)and their gorgeous Yorkshire terrier Sauron. Having much more luck as a video-artist than he ever had as a painter, Ulf is now mainly consentrating on making 3d animated films and game-art. Ulf´s works are usually of a narrative nature.
