Eurotrip
With very little out at the cinema striking my fancy (yet) I decided to dig through the oldies and watch Eurotrip.
Eurotrip, in short is a story about a boy who goes around the world, with his friends, to find the girl of his dreams. Of course there is a bit more to the plot than that but this gives you the overall idea of the movie which is 'road trip' and thus travel and cultural difference comedy.
No matter how many times I have watched this movie, I still find it to be absolutely hilarious. There are some scenes I still find myself laughing about days later when I hear an accent or have a visual reminder of something. Fighting robots, touchy-feely creepy men on trains, nude beaches and 'Scotty Doesn't Know' all add up to make Eurotrip a must-see movie with a group of friends. And I must say, as someone who has travelled in Europe, there are elements of truth in almost every part of the movie, so be warned and intrigued.
I must say, my favorite part is the cameo by Matt Damon. You may not recognize him so I will give you a tip: He is the lead singer in the band at the party. Yes, that is him. No Joke. Shouldn't he look like a punk rocker all the time? I think so, too.
I would give Eurotrip an overall grade of A.
Eurotrip receives a grade breakdown as follows:
Story: A. Short, simple, to-the-point.

Visuals: A. Like I said, some scenes just pop into my mind and I cannot help but laugh out loud.
Originality/Innovation: B. Though nothing was entirely original but together it did make up a rather unique and interesting story.
Enjoyability grade: A+. By now I have seen this movie well over 10 times and each time I still laugh and look forward to watching it again. To me,that makes it highly enjoyable.
Overall grade: A. Get together with a group of friends, order pizza and enjoy Eurotrip. Trust me, it will be a good time.
DVD extras: A. The special features and behind the scenes are hilarious. If you have time, flip through them and get more laughs before calling it a night.
