Synopsis:

'Tot Ziens!' is a fairytale with a sad ending. It is a film that shows the last sixteen minutes of the life of a twelve year old girl. Anna lies in bed, she's accompanied by her mom, who just finished a story that she read for her daughter. The story told the tale of a sick bird which was injured by a tomcat. After the bird let life, his spirit flies into oblivion. Anna recognises herself in this story and is aware of her future leaving. She ask permission at her mam to let go of her life.

Klaus Verscheure (°1968) is a born and bred West-Fleming who decided in 1986 to attend RITS to train as an animated filmmaker. He finished in June 1989 on l’Entrée de l’hiérophante, a film on music by Blaine L. Reininger (violinist and originator of Tuxedomoon). After his military service he ended up in the textile industry after an exhibition of his paintings.

This conservative and very traditionalist West-Flemish guild is flabbergasted at the non-conventional intruder into their midst. His designs lead to a series of curtain textures for Ikea and a collection of carpets for Domo. After a year between cloths and tissues he is drawn in by television (1990) and he starts working in the visual sector. He is still active there with an occasional sidestep into other creative worlds.

These last years he has also been active in Publicity and Videoclips. He was also asked to make several films for museums over the past two years, which gave him a real taste for filmmaking.
