The Optician

Back to HDFEST NYC Schedule

Synopsis:

An optometrist called John is in love with his shop assistant, Barbara. However, John is far too scared of humiliation to ever ask her out.

Meanwhile, Barbara is completely besotted with John, which is obvious to everyone, except John.

Then, one day, John finds a pair of glasses that allow him to see 10 seconds into the future. Not only will he be able to predict Barbara's reactions to his advances, but they must be able to help him win Barbara's heart, surely?

With a little help from the magic glasses, John and Barbara find themselves on a date at the cinema. But the more John uses the glasses to predict the future the more they mislead him, and things begin to go awry.
