Director Biography

Andreas Hafele’s offbeat sense of humour, soft spot for absurd situations and use of simple, memorable imagery was recognised when he won the Young Directors Award in Cannes 2006. During Film School in the UK he specialised in conceptual, humour-based work and was recently featured in Creative Review’s talent publication as one of the “Creative Futures in Commercials Direction”. Dog & Bone, an episodic short film, which Andreas shot for Benq-Siemens found acclaim in American Cinematographer Magazine, for its unconventional style and visual approach. “Andreas’ protagonist’s charm, with their quirky nature, is set in a world that is shifted, maybe even a little twisted” states a directors portrait by Shots monthly entitled “The young and the fabulous”. Recently Andreas shot commercials for Swarovski, Mc Donalds and Vodafone.
