Director Bio:

Benjamin Ahr Harrison grew up in the mixed urban/suburban neighborhoods of Oakland, CA. At the age of twelve he took a summer course in ocean science and decided that his childhood dream of becoming a marine biologist just wasn't for him. As an alternative, he committed himself fully to his Plan B: becoming a filmmaker. He attended NYU's Kanbar Institute for Film and Television Production for his undergraduate education. He is now an award-winning screenwriter and has directed music videos that have screened on MTV and BET, as well as racking up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and MySpace. He still maintains a keen interest in ocean and space science, though his taller-than-average build will always stand in the way of his Plan C career: becoming an astronaut. This puts him in the dire position of needing absolutely to succeed in the world of filmmaking. His production company, Machine Man Inc., is based in TriBeCa, and is currently preparing several short format projects and examining the possibility of a feature film in the next 18 to 24 months.

Band Bio:

Jake Lefco currently has all his teeth. This wasn’t always the case. During the time spent recording his new album “Missing Trooth”, Jake had a prominent gap where he was missing one of his front teeth.

Often described as a ‘breath of fresh air' in the world of rap music, this Philadelphia emcee (currently based in NYC) is quickly earning himself critical acclaim and widespread recognition. With his flavorful blend of brutal honesty, clever lyricism, amazing flow, and light hearted humor, Lefco harkens back to a time when skills mattered.

Jake Lefco’s singles “Headphones” (2006) and “Wake Up Call” (2007)  hit #2 and #4 respectively on national college radio charts. His debut album “And You Are?”, released late 2006, attracted attention from numerous publications such as Elemental Magazine, OkayPlayer.com, Philadelphia Daily News, Beyond Race Magazine, Philadelphia City Paper,  Philadelphia Weekly, RapMusic.com, RapReviews.com, and many more. Lefco’s music has been used on the MTV show “Room Raiders”. Jake was also featured on Comcast On Demand’s “Battle Of The Bands”.
Jake Lefco’s second album “Missing Trooth” is sure to create a major buzz. With songs featuring the dark side of bartending, the constant battle between motivation and laziness, honest love, and vivid portraits of life and mortality, “Missing Trooth” is an album about growing up.

“Missing Trooth” features guests Reef the Lost Cauze, Side Effect, Briz, Keisha Hutchins, David Cope, and Ohsha Kai, as well as cuts by DJ Kwestion and Panek.

Jake Lefco is performing extensively in support of “Missing Trooth”. Whether he’s in a small smokey bar performing for forty people, or in front of a huge field filled with thousands, Jake always brings a consistent energy and intensity to his performances that is rare these days. When you watch Jake Lefco on stage, you can tell that he loves what he does.
