Thoughts for Using HDV Technology

The lightweight equipment gave us an enormous amount of freedom and flexibility in our approach to shooting the film, which was shot entirely in available light for both interiors and exteriors. As a director it was great to have the flexibility to work with the actors in an improvisational manner knowing we could change a camera set-up very quickly using the Sony Z-1
