ATL
Micro-Review
So I decided to watch the DVD called ATL starring rapper T.I. (Tip Harris) and Big Boi (Antwan Andre Patton) of the group Outkast.
The story is about high school life and living in Atlanta’s Southside. We all have experienced high school and all the comedy and drama there. In the ATL, that is all left behind come Sunday night when everybody meets at Cascade the local skating rink for some friendly competition.
The movie portrayed a progressive love story that made you feel like you were in high school again. That in itself was a great flashback moment. The casting was a good fit too. T.I. has the skills being this is his first feature film. He has made a good crossover to acting because the man can actually act.
This was also the directorial film debut of music video director Chris Robinson.
This DVD is getting a C- rating due to lack of enjoyment and being uninteresting. I got off the couch a couple times without even pushing pause on the DVD player. What I did get from ATL is a positive moral message and the feeling of wanting to do better. Looking at T.I. and watching him act was a great thing also.
